"Inspire Your Heart With Art" Contest Winners

Inspiration comes in many forms, as proven by the piles of submissions we received to our latest contest. Our astounding Citra Artists showed us, through their magnificent art, how the simplest things in the world can hold so much beauty and revelation. Gratitude and kudos to all who entered, and a special thank you to our judge Cathy Taylor, who clearly had a daunting task!

The Judge

As always I am truly humbled as the judge of other artists work. I am in awe of the magical and wonderful creations of others. It is amazing that artists can take a technique and make it their own, and create their own individual statement.

This is one of the criteria I look at when I am jurying work. Did the artist show themselves in the work? Of course there are always the technical aspects; composition strength, elements and principles of design. Naturally my own opinion enters into the equation. It would be nearly impossible not to rely on my experiences, but I make every effort to set personal taste aside and look for the artist in their own individual expression.

Also, I consider the use of the technique...Citra Art. What a wonderful discovery.

Lastly there is the theme....Inspire your Heart with Art.....
