Go Unplugged
Set computers to energy-saving settings and shut them down when you leave for the day (“standby” settings will continue to draw power even when not in use).
Plug all your hardware (printers, desk lamps, etc.) into a power strip with an on/off switch so everything can be turned off at once.

Just say no to paper
Keep things digital whenever possible.
Minimize the number of documents you print, send emails instead of letters.
When you do use paper, buy recycled paper with a minimum of chlorine bleaching.

Commute astutely
Carpool, take public transit, use a car sharing service like Flexcar or Zipcar, bike or just hoof it!

See Green
Green lighting: CFLs, LEDs eco-friendly lamps, Let the sunshine in!

Brown Bag It
Bringing your lunch in reusable containers reduces material consumption (and probably your food consumption, too)

Green Your Building
Making a building more environmentally friendly actually saves money. Tax credits, rebates and deductions are offered to offices that are environmentally responsible.
Studies have shown that a low initial investment can increase energy efficiency by 20-30%.
Companies may be eligible for reduced insurance premiums as well as lower interest rates on building loans by incorporating eco-friendly elements such as energy efficiency and water conservation.

Green Office = healthier, happier workers
Greening an office space increases the efficiency of both energy and human resources: a healthy work environment means healthier, more productive workers.
Proper ventilation and healthy building materials improve air quality and result in healthier – and happier – workers. Air quality inside buildings is sometimes two to five times worse than outside air.
