It was harvest time for our "Cultivate Your Creativity II" contest! What a bountiful number of submissions your crop yielded! And as always, we were overwhelmed by the abundance of talent and creativity of the artists! Congratulations and thanks to all our winners and entrants.
We are also extremely grateful to the talented Kathy Armstrong for being willing to take on the difficult task of selecting the winners for the competition.
Juror’s Statement
"I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all the fantastic artwork that was submitted for the most recent contest, but admit that choosing the winners was challenging. There were many that were of the caliber to be winners.
A little about what I looked for in selecting the winners. First, the art had to have an immediate impact. For many various reasons—it had to grab me quickly. Then as I took more time with each piece I took into account texture, composition, execution, color, light, unique style, and mood conveyed. Whether it was primarily representational or abstract, it had to work on many levels. Some of the incredible texture was stunning. And some drew me in most of all because of the depth and movement that was created. Kudos to everyone who submitted work. And please, keep creating and inspiring!"
